Garden Of Reflection Vandalized In Bucks County

by Alex Lloyd Gross

The Garden Of Reflection is a memorial for those killed in the 9/11 attacks on America. This memorial features steel from the World Trade Center and is has the name of People who perished during the attacks etched into glass panels that are affixed to railings.

Yesterday, at about 8:22 AM, Police in Lower Makefield were called when someone noticed “several” of the panels were damaged. This damage, police said was intentional. It consisted of small dings, dents, and scratches to the glass faces of some panels, including those with last names starting with “S” to “W”.

The Garden Of Reflection is located at 1350 Woodside Rd. It is open 24 hours, and never closes. People use it to come and remember those loved ones or just to get away and decompress. Every anniversary, there are services to officially commemorate the tragic events of 9/11/01.

Police are continuing the investigation, including looking at security cameras, license plate readers and other technology to pin pint exactly when this vandalism took place and who did it. This is not the first time that this memorial has been vandalized.
