Falls Police to Hold Citizen Police Academy

The Falls Township Police department will conduct a 13-week citizens police academy for township residents beginning Wednesday, September 25 at the Falls Township Municipal building, officials announced in a release.

The  program is designed to educate residents about the police department.

Classes will provide an overview of the agency, as well as information on crime scene investigation, use of force, practical traffic stops, practical police scenarios, shoot don’t shoot, K-9 demonstration, narcotics, police range, district court and the Diane Corado investigation.

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to participate.

Those completing the class will take part in a graduation ceremony in front of the Board of Supervisors on December 17 at 7 p.m.
