Police Arrest Suspect In Murder of Toddler

Philadelphia Police have at last one suspect in custody for the  shooting death of two year old Nikollette Rivera. This happened on October 20, 2019 on the 3100 block of North Water Street.  Rivera was shot when , according to police,  Freddie Perez, of the 3100 block of North A Street. was arrested in Chester Pa on

October 22, 2019.  He was charged  with murder today, October 23, 2019.

Also injured in the shooting as a carpet cleaner,  who was shot in the abdomen and the victim’s mother. She was holding her daughter  when police alleged that Perez fired into the house several rounds from a rifle.  A second suspect was arrested on unrelated charges and could be charged with this very soon. Police said this is a fluid and active investigation.  A reward of $30,00 was offered for the arrest of the person(s) responsible for the murder. This shooting polarized the city.
