Philadelphia Police are questioning the family of a four year old girl who was rushed to Jefferson, Torresdale Hospital, during the early morning hours today, April 21, 2020. She was shot while inside her home on the 2900 block of Secane Drive just before midnight. As police and medics responded to the house, they found out the girl was taken by private auto to the hospital. She was pronounced deal at 12:13 AM.
Inside, lying on a living room couch was a loaded .357 revolver, with one round missing. No one inside the residence has admitted to or has any information on who fired the weapon. Police did not say in what room of the house the shooting happened. No charges have been filed as of 4:00 PM. Police said that is is very unlikely that the little girl shot herself by accident. Police said that the gun was fired from inside the house. . Both the girls parents were present as well as another adult couple, when the shooting happened, police said.
