Swastika Painted Next To Holocaust Memorial In Philly

by Alex Lloyd Gross

A swastika was found spray painted on the west wall of the Verizon building located on the 1600 block of Arch Street. What makes this even more significant is that this is adjacent to the Horowitz Wasserman Holocaust Memorial Plaza . This was reported yesterday at about 2:00 PM .

The offensive graffiti was removed very quickly, after it was photographed and investigated by police. Security cameras show a suspect,, an unknown male wearing a black mask and a dark jacket (possibly brown) with a stripe across the chest and down the arms.

He wore a mask because he is a coward and knows what he did will land him in prison, and he could face possible hate crimes. This male has to remove his mask at some point and what he does not know is that police are tracking his arrival and departure from the site. If he is local, they could also track him to a house or vehicle.

In the mean time, if you know who this person is, police would like to speak with you.
