Hit and Run Victim Shoots Three People On Allegheny Avenue

Three people were shot on the 300 block of East Allegheny Avenue a bit before 3:00 PM It all happened due to a hit and run crash. According to police, a scooter rider was on Allegheny Avenue, going towards Broad Street when a small black passenger car come out onto Allegheny Ave, from a side street. The car and scooter collide.

As the scooter is sent flying, along with the rider, the driver of the striking vehicle takes off, on Allegheny Ave. going towards Kensington Avenue. The scooter rider, at this point is a victim. He sits dazed and then gathers his senses. Instead of grabbing a cellphone to call police, he grabs a pistol and starts shooting wildly, in the direction of the striking vehicle.

Police said he hit three innocent people, including an eight year old girl who just left the Lewis Elkin Elementary School when she was shot in the head Another bullet pierced the front windshield of an Audi , striking a 47 year old female, who had nothing to do with the original accident.

A man also sustained a gunshot wound to his left leg. The gunman then runs back to his scooter but it is trashed and unable to be moved. The shooter then runs away on foot. Police arrived, processed the scene and were able to get car parts of the striking vehicle. They also have the scooter which will have fingerprints and DNA on it.
