Jihad grey was arrested yesterday on the 2100 block of South Dorrance Street. He was involved in the mass shooting on July 7 2025 on the 1500 block of South Etting Street. It was there that police said one person fired a gun into the air , which resulted in other people who were armed to pull out their weapons and fire randomly into the air.
Grey ‘s house was raided and officers found two pistols and a rifle. Police did not say if those weapons were used that night.
Police investigators recovered almost 150 pieces of ballistic evidence and said that at least 13 people fire guns at that incident.
The victims who were killed have been identified as 23-year-old Zahir Wylie, 19-year-old Jason Reese, and 24-year-old Azir Harris. Three teenagers were also shot and sustained injury.
Two others were arrested in connection with this shooting, Daquan Brown, 21 and Terrell Frazier. Police are still seeking Christopher Battle in connection with the shooting. Grey has been charged with homicide and weapons offenses.
