Cashier Busted Stealing From Burger King In Hilltown

by Alex Lloyd Gross

Hilltown police have charged Amanda Scher with stealing from her employer. Back in July they got a call from the manager who was concerned about some register shortages. When the manager looked into it, Scher was observed on camera allegedly not putting money into the register and putting it in her pockets instead.

According to police, this happened 12 times over the span of about one month. The total amount that they allege Scher took was $216.00. She is charged with Receiving Stolen Property and theft. It is unknown how long Scher was working at the restaurant before the thefts happened.

Scher was processed and released. She was also fired. Authorities said she worked at the Burger King on Route 113 in Hilltown.
