Levittown To North Philly Drug Ring Busted In Multiple Raids

Attorney General Dave Sunday along with multiple law enforcement officers from Philadelphia and Bucks County held a press conference at the Attorney Genral’s warehouse in the Parkwood section of northeast Philadelphia, to show off over 12 KG of cocaine, several pounds of marijuana, 19 different guns, including two ghost guns and $275,000 in cash.

Agents are still looking for people that were involved but are not yet in custody. The drug ring headed by Jimmie Torres worked with his son Mathew. to rule over drug sale in an area of North Philadelphia. Police said they allegedly packaged drugs for sale in a home on the 100 block of Idelwilde Road in Levittown. Police said a male who was identified as Johnny Bartolemy allegedly drove the drugs to stash houses in North Philadelphia. You can see from the graphic below how the drug gang worked. The drugs would be sold in the area of 5th and Cornwall Streets.

Sixteen individuals were arrested Thursday at various locations in the Philadelphia area. All have been arraigned — bail was set between $1 million and $5 million. All are behind bars. Even though this case happened in Philadelphia, it is going to be prosecuted in Bucks County. Five of the alleged dealers have not yet been arrested. They could be in the area or in Puerto Rico.

The investigation started in July of last year and culminated with the arrests yesterday morning. Several vehicles were seized as well. Sunday spoke of the cooperation and collaboration between Bucks, Philadelphia, and Montgomery Counties. “It wasn’t always this way with the cooperation”, Philadelphia Sheriff Rochelle Bilal said. Her deputies provided transportation for defendants and drug sniffing dogs.

In addition to Jimmie Torres and Matthew Torres charged are: Johnny Bartolomey, Tomas Montanez, Nestor Diaz, Hector Diaz, Rolando Ortiz, Angel Pizarro, Steven Andino, Ruth Andino, Jose Ramos, Iris Inostroza-Torres, Kevin Cade, Miguel Ramirez, Hector Tanon, Raphael Castro, and Joshua DeJesus.

Charged but not in custody are: Miguel Nazario, Myron Booker, Javier Rodriguez, and John Cade. This investigation continues, officials said.
