At the Navy Yard in South Philadelphia, dignitaries like NJ Governor Phil Murphy and PA Govenor Josh Shapiro gave remarks alongside Naval and Marine officers. The occasion was the kick off of the Homecoming 250 celebration, which is the birthday of the US Navy and Marine, who both were formed in Philadelphia.
Four Naval Vessels floated up- the Delaware River and will dock for several days. The public is invited to board them for tours. It’s not all going to be in center city and south Philly. Navy or Marine Helicopters are going to land at Bensalem High School and also Northeast and Lincoln High Schools during the week long celebration.

Central Bucks will also get an up close and personal view of a helicopter as well on October 14 at 9:00 AM. There will be military flyovers for the Washington Vs Northeast Football game as well.
Early this morning, members of the pubic lined the banks of the Delaware River to watch as four ships from the US Navy sailed up the River. Towards the end there was a military Jet flyover which included two Ospreys.
