Accused Bucks County Fraudster Arrested In Luzerne County

Back in December 2025 A woman from Hilltown Township got a telephone call from an unknown person. This person had some personal information about someone she knew and told them he was calling from a law office. The person identified themselves as Mike Price. The person the woman knew was arrested for causing a serious accident. Bail was $5000.00. She was told to get cash and a man named “Hector” would pick up up.

The woman, believing the voice on the phone paid the “bail” and then found out she was scammed. Police started their investigation by looking at video security footage and seeing the car pulling up the driveway. License plate readers and cameras tracked the car. It was an Uber car. The driver was Hector Acosta.

Police then used bank records and cell phone records to find that The car originally came from a house on Green Street, in Hazleton Pa. The owner of the house was identified as Deyanira Gonzales-Ogando. Upon checking her bank records, she had some transactions that were split between her and Acosta. that detectives said was the stolen $5000.00. In fact Gonzalez was seen on video making at east one deposit.

Gonzales-Ogando is charged with theft, impersonation, receiving stolen property and related offenses. She was ordered held under $75,000 bail.
