Philadelphia Police Seek Help Identifying Suspect in Deadly Logan Playground Shooting



by Dan Doyle — The Philadelphia Police Department’s Homicide Unit is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect connected to a fatal shooting that occurred Wednesday evening in the city’s Logan neighborhood.

At approximately 6:07 p.m. on May 15, officers from the 35th District responded to a report of a person with a gun at 1700 Lindley Avenue. Upon arrival, they discovered an 18-year-old male lying unresponsive inside the Logan School playground. The victim had sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was quickly transported to Albert Einstein Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 6:32 p.m.

A second victim, a 16-year-old boy, was also found at the scene. He suffered gunshot wounds to his hands and legs and was taken to the same hospital. He is currently listed in serious but stable condition.

Police have released surveillance images of the suspect, described as a Black male believed to be in his late 20s to early 30s. He has dreadlocks and a beard, and was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a gray design on the front. He was also wearing a large chain with a medallion. Investigators believe the man may go by the nickname “Feek.”

The suspect was last spotted fleeing westbound on Lindley Avenue from Broad Street toward Carlisle Street.

A $20,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the individual responsible for this homicide.

As the investigation continues, police hope the community will aid in identifying the suspect and help bring justice to the victims and their families.
