Warminster Man Arrested in Fatal Shooting Of West Conshohocken Woman

by Dan Doyle – A Warminster man is in custody following the fatal shooting of a 25-year-old woman in West Conshohocken early Saturday morning.

Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin R. Steele and West Conshohocken Borough Police Chief Salvatore Carfagno announced the arrest of 26-year-old Michael Dutkiewicz, who is accused of killing Alyssa Rose Wiest, reportedly his girlfriend of two years.

Police were dispatched at approximately 12:25 a.m. May 18, 2025, to the 200 block of Moorehead Avenue after reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers found Wiest lying face down on the sidewalk with apparent gunshot wounds to her torso. She was transported to Lankenau Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.

A joint investigation by West Conshohocken Police and Montgomery County Detectives revealed that the front door to Wiest’s nearby residence was found ajar. Investigators located a trail of blood leading from inside the home to the sidewalk where her body was discovered. Five projectiles were recovered from the scene—both inside the residence and near Wiest’s body.

Detectives determined that Dutkiewicz was present at the scene immediately following the shooting. A neighbor reported seeing him standing next to his silver Ford F-150 before it left the area. License plate reader data later confirmed the vehicle’s movement through Conshohocken shortly after the incident.

An arrest warrant was issued, and Dutkiewicz surrendered to West Conshohocken Police around. He has been charged with First-Degree Murder, Third-Degree Murder, and Possession of an Instrument of Crime.

Dutkiewicz was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Henry J. Schireson. As per Pennsylvania law, no bail is available for a First-Degree Murder charge. He has been remanded to the Montgomery County Correctional Facility.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 27, 2025, before Magisterial District Judge Cathleen Kelly-Rebar.

Editor’s Note: all criminal charges are allegations and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
