By Dan Doyle– and Alex Lloyd Gross

A local lawn equipment business was the target of a burglary in the early morning hours of June 11, when three individuals forced their way into The Lawn Barn and made off with a haul of power tools valued at $20,000 in under three minutes. People speculate that they were starting their own business with free tools. The serial numbers are traceable, authorities said.

The suspects smashed through the store’s front door before grabbing multiple chainsaws, leaf blowers, and other high-end landscaping equipment. They tossed the equipment into the bed of a pick up truck and sped off in an unknown direction. The entire incident was over in moments, with the trio fleeing the scene in a Ford F-150 before officers arrived.

Detective George of the Middletown Township Police Department is leading the investigation and is asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspects.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Detective George All tips will be kept confidential.

Why the “lawn barn” ? Just to start a business… Nahh if your a group of guys getting serious about starting a business, this was not very thought out . Honestly stupid as hell. So id have to say that wasn’t why . If I were investigating this I would have to consider one of them having a connection to this store or being very familiar with it. addicts. It’s not enough money to be an insurance job unless the business is really struggling but with all the COVID grants that went out I doubt that. I think it was a smash and grab type of deal with a connection or familiarity to the store. maybe a customer or someone who’s employed by a customer. As you can tell I’m bored. I am out of work with a back injury and I do enjoy investigating and analyzing things. Being that I do unfortunately have a history if I can offer my opinion on anything feel free to ask .
