BRISTOL BOROUGH, PA — A Levittown woman has pleaded guilty to third-degree murder for the 2023 shooting death of her husband at the Bristol Borough Wharf. Sammar Khan, 42, appeared before Bucks County Common Pleas Judge Jeffrey L. Finley on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, and entered an open guilty plea in the killing of her husband, 38-year-old Faisal Iqbal.

She also pleaded guilty to possession of an instrument of crime and recklessly endangering another person. Her sentencing is scheduled for September 30. The charges stem from a violent confrontation that occurred on the morning of May 30, 2023. At approximately 10:53 a.m., Bristol Borough Police responded to the scenic wharf at 1 Mill Street for a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers found Khan at the scene with blood on her clothing.

Iqbal was discovered nearby in a grassy area, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene. A firearm was recovered in the vicinity. According to investigators from the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office and the Bristol Borough Police Department, several witnesses saw the incident unfold. Khan and Iqbal were seen speaking near the coastline moments before the shooting.

Witnesses reported hearing Khan shouting in another language, followed by a gunshot. Iqbal, who had been seated, stood up and engaged in a physical struggle with Khan as more shots rang out. The couple then moved toward the parking lot, where Iqbal reportedly urged a bystander to call 911. Witnesses said Khan then shot him two more times, causing him to collapse.

Disturbingly, Khan is alleged to have walked over to her wounded husband and fired three additional rounds — twice into his torso and once into his head. An intensive investigation was conducted by Bucks County detectives and Bristol Borough Police.
