Fatal South Philadelphia Shooting Under Investigation

PHILADELPHIA, PA — Police are investigating a deadly shooting in South Philadelphia that left a 36-year-old man dead early Sunday morning.

Officers were dispatched to the 1000 block of South 18th Street shortly after 1 a.m. for reports of gunfire. When they arrived, police found a 36-year-old Black male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The victim was rushed to Jefferson Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 1:40 a.m., authorities said.

Investigators have not yet released the man’s identity, and no information on a possible motive or suspect has been made available.

The Philadelphia Police Department is urging anyone with information to contact its tip line at 215-686-TIPS (8477). A $20,000 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction.

    Like breathing the Air, or seeing the Sun come up – you just KNOW it’s a Common Usual Happening.
