Bensalem and Penndel Police Will Help with DUI Checkpoint In Doylestown

In partnership

with the Bucks County DUI Task Force, police officers from 10 Bucks County departments along with Pennsylvania State Police will conduct a DUI checkpoint later this week in Doylestown Township.

Located on South Easton Road just north of New Britain Road, the Bucks County DUI Task Force and State Police will be looking for intoxicated motorists between the hours of 10pm until 3am.

“Our main goal this Friday night is to keep people safe from being hurt by impaired drivers in the first place,” said Bucks County District Attorney Matthew D. Weintraub. “That being said, please don’t drink or do drugs and drive. Be safe.”
Drivers who appear to be under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs may be subject to field sobriety tests.

Friday night’s checkpoint will be manned by officers from the Bedminster Township Police Department, Bensalem Township Police Department, Doylestown Township Police Department, Dublin Borough Police Department, Hilltown Township Police Department, Newtown Township Police Department, Penndel Borough Police Department, Plumstead Township Police Department, Warrington Township Police Department and the PA State Police.
The checkpoint is fully funded through a grant through the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.
