Drunk Driver Sent To Prison For Causing Falls Township Fatal Wreck
By Alex Lloyd Gross
Charles Fisher of Lower Makefield Pa. was sentenced to serve between four years and five months to 11 and a hald years in state prison for causing a fatal accident on Lincoln Highway in June of 2018. He also lied about it and tried to get Kasside Farrell, who was a passenger in the car to lie and claim he was not driving. This was a high speed , head on accident that killed the driver of the other vehicle, Michael Carlino.
Falls Township Fire Crews had to go in service to cut Carlino from the wreckage. One vehicle was in the wooded area and the other came to rest on the shoulder of the road.
Fisher could have been sentenced on charges of homicide by vehicle, aggravated assault by vehicle, accidents involving death, involuntary manslaughter, according to an article in Levittown Now. Prosecutors dropped those charges. He did plead guilty to homicide by vehicle while DUI , assault and DUI charges in August of this year. Carlino’s family and Farrell are represented by lawyers who are trying to sue Fisher. He did not have a valid drivers license which could be an excuse for any insurance policy to nullify coverage, leaving Fisher vulnerable.
It is unknown where Fisher had been drinking. You can read the original story here.
