More Information On Bensalem Auto Pedestrian Story

On June 22, 2022 we reported this story about a hit and run accident in Bensalem . New details were released yesterday. Court records show that the driver of the vehicle that struck the pedestrian is Woodrow Gibson, from East orange New Jersey. He is charged with leaving the scene of an accident, failure to render aid and multiple traffic offenses.
He was also charged with receiving stolen property, as the Cadillac he was driving was reported stolen out of New Jersey the day before. Gibson was the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, police said. he was arrested after several witnesses to the accident saw him run away on foot and chased him down.. He was captured on Maple Ave. less than a quarter mile, away from the accident scene.
Police allege that on June 22, 2022 Gibson was driving reckless when he veered across the road on the 4000 block of Bristol Pike. This is just south of the Bristol Township border. He slammed into an occupied golf cart, which was on private property. The driver of the golf cart was seriously injured, authorities said.
Gibson was held on $30,000 bail and remanded to Bucks County Prison .
