Car Fire On I-95 Backs Up Traffic For Miles

If you were stuck in traffic on I-95 for over an hour today, this is why. A car fire, in the northbound lanes had all but the far left lane closed to traffic. It was not just that there were fire trucks in the road, but a fully charged fire house took up at least two lanes of northbound traffic. It was reported just after 2:00 PM.
Traffic was backed up almost to center city. The location of the car was near the Betsy Ross Bridge. luckily, it was in the far right lane and shoulder. The back up lasted almost an hour, trying to get through the mess. No injuries were reported.
