Police Investigate Hit and Run In Rhawnhurst

Philadelphia Police are looking for evidence in a fatal accident involving a pedestrian. This happened at 2:43 AM on the 8200 block of Bustleton Avenue. This happened during the early morning hours of October 2,2023. It was at that location where a 39 year old male was struck by a vehicle.
That vehicle fled from the scene in an unknown direction. Medics did not transport the male hospital. The male died at the scene and was pronounced by medics at 3:08 AM, police said.
Police are looking for security cameras in the area that might have captured something. The identity of the pedestrian has not been released, pending next of kin. police did not say if any car parts were left behind at the scene.
