Three Car Crash In Wissinoming Ruptures Gas Line

A grinding three vehicle crash resulted in all three vehicles getting totaled. and at least two injuries, officials said at the scene. The location was Levick and Marsden Street, which is right off of busy Torresdale Ave. That intersection is controlled by a stop sign. One car went through without stopping.
After the initial impact, both cars rotated out of control, striking a parked vehicle. One of them came in contact with a gas meter, on a building causing a gas leak. Police and fire crews quickly shutdown the area until PGW crews could turn off the gas. Heavy traffic was along the side streets as drivers had to detour around the scene.
Some bystanders would ignore the smell of gas and try to get a better look at the scene while carrying a lit cigarette. They would then look bewildered when first responders admonished them.
