Suspect Surrenders In Newtown Township Barricade Incident

Just one day after Andre Gordon was taken into custody after a five hour incident in Levittown, Police in Newtown Township had an incident where they called out the SWAT team. About 7:00 AM officers got a call from a woman who was assaulted by a male in her house on Independence Place in the Headley House Development. This male had a handgun, police said..
The victim was able to escape and the male remained in the house. SWAT was called and residents were notified by social media and through the HOA to Shelter In Place. After about two and a half hours, the suspect surrendered.
The woman who was assaulted declined to go to the hospital. police did not release the name of the male who was arrested, pending formal charges. No injuries were reported. police have the house on lock down, pending the arrival of a search warrant.
