Male Turns Summary Into Felony In North Philly
by Alex Lloyd Gross
Criminals are not smart. The male in the above photo is a perfect example of stupidity. He walked into the Dollar General on the 1300 block of Lehigh Avenue on June 15, 2024.. He came in to steal and that is what he did, police said.
As he was leaving, he was confronted by an employee. Had he dropped the stolen items and ran away, or even been arrested, you would not be reading this. Instead, he pulled a knife and threatened the employee. He then said “I have a permit to carry”. He never displayed a gun. Even so his actions turned a summary retail theft into a felony commercial robbery.
Now police want to find him and revoke any gun permit he may have. Admittedly, the photo is not the best but this male is probably local and someone should recognize him.
