Males Rams State Police Trooper With Stolen Truck
by Alex Lloyd Gross
Last night, a white Ford Lariot, Pick-Up truck was stolen from Bensalem. At about 7:16 AM today, Pennsylvania State Police saw the truck and tried to stop it. The driver sped off, and eventually went south on the Roosevelt Boulevard.
The fact that traffic lights were red and traffic was backed up did not stop the driver from trying to escape. Police said he rammed through several vehicles and at Fulmer Street, which is just south of Grant Avenue, the driver rammed a state trooper car. It did not work out well for him so he got out and was chased on foot.
The male driver was arrested. His identity will be released when he is charged. One minor injury was reported, state police said. The driver will be charged with all of his crimes in Bucks County, state police said.
The stolen truck was towed back to the state police barracks under an escort from the state police.
