Warminster Male Arrested For Road Rage
by Alex Lloyd Gross
If your drivers license is suspended or maybe you don’t have one, do not get behind the wheel of a car. Some people will not heed that advice. Maybe they think if they driver proper, they will be fine. Then there is Frances Leo Dougherty, of Warminster, Bucks County Pennsylvania..
Police said that on June 15, 2024 just before 7:00 PM Dougherty was driving on County Line Road in Upper Southampton Twp. It was there that his vehicle, a black GMC Pick-Up truck collided with another driver. Instead of exchanging information, Dougherty is alleged to have brandished a wooden club and threatened the other driver.
Not wanting a confrontation, the other driver took off and drove to his place of employment, in the industrial park in Upper Southampton Twp.. Dougherty followed him there, police said and continued to escalate the situation and again pulled out his club, which the victim was able to disarm him.
The victims father tried to intervene, police said. That only enraged Dougherty who tried to get his dog to attack. When that did not work, Dougherty is then alleged to have gotten into his vehicle, chased the father around the parking lot. He then allegedly said, “Watch as I do something crazy”. Police said in a criminal complaint he then aimed his truck where the two men were standing and drove towards them. When they jumped out of the way, he rammed the back of the victims truck.
Dougherty was arrested and charged with assault and multiple traffic violations.
