City Gets Ready For July 4th Events

The July 4th festivities will take place tomorrow all across the city. Some events take a few days to prepare. For example,the stage that will hold the Kesha concert at the Art Museum. That takes days to assemble and then take apart. Workers were spotted doing the load-in and assembly yesterday afternoon.
Grammy Award-nominated singer, actor and winner of the 2nd season of American Idol Ruben Studdard, and Philadelphia’s own rapper, writer, activist and entrepreneur Chill Moody will join multi-faceted musician, Emmy Award Winning Music Director and Grammy Award-winning writer and producer Adam Blackstone on stage to kick off the excitement before Kesha and NE-YO take the stage on the 4th of July on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway.
Plus, also just announced – Broadway Legend, Tony-Award winning actress, and Grammy-Award winning singer Jennifer Holliday will perform at the City of Philadelphia’s Celebration of Freedom Ceremony on the morning of July 4th with Independence Hall as the backdrop.
After the concert, stick around for fireworks.
