Couple Busted For Shoplifting Incidents In Lower Southampton

Police in Lower Southampton Twp. were able to arrest two alleged thieves after s shoplifting incident July 5, 2024 at the ACME on Street Road. Police got a call about a theft in progress and observed the two putting merchandise into a car. Employees saw the theft and called police.
When no receipt could be located for the goods, police learned that they loaded a shopping cart with the items and simply pushed the cart outside. Upon further investigation, it was learned that this couple allegedly shoplifted items from the Five Below store just prior to going into ACME.
They were identified as Nicole Welsh of Levittown Pa, and Oliver Lee, from Philadelphia. Both face charges of Retail theft and related offenses. A small amount of drugs were found on Lee, police said. He is facing charges for those as well.
Police were not sure of how the two know each other.
