Four Alarm Fire Rips Through Apartment Building

All occupants were accounted for and got out safe. The building was a total loss. A shelter for residents has been set up at the Fells School on Langdon Street. Some streets around the fire will continue to be blocked..

There were reports of three minor injuries. A cause has not yet been determined. Preliminary, it appears the fire started on the top floor. There was work being done to the building before the fire. It is unknown if that caused the building to go up in flames. Red Cross is on scene .

A four alarm fire ripped through an apartment building in the Castor Gardens section of Northeast Philadelphia. The fire,located on the 7400 block of Roosevelt Boulevard ripped through the building just after 10:00 PM.

Portions of Roosevelt Boulevard were closed to traffic in the area, and many smaller streets in the area were closed as well. By 11:30PM many companies were working to extinguish the fire. The 7400 block of Bustleton Avenue was used as a staging area for incoming fire trucks.

No cause has been determined. There has been no confirmation on injuries.
