The National Weather Service confirmed that a severe storm that ripped through portions of the Northeast was a Microburst. Trees came down and brought wires down with them. PECO customers lost power in the area of State Road and Linden Avenue and that outage continued up to the county line.

Strong winds knocked down two chimney’s from homes along the 5200 block of Linden Avenue. No injuries were reported. There has been no estimate from PECO on when the power will get turned back on.
