All Of the Diaper Gang In Custody For Stealing Across Philadelphia

The fourth suspect in what is being called “The Diaper Gang” has turned himself in this week. Rahmir Johnson, 28, surrendered to police and will face charges that include Retail Theft, and relate]d offenses. Johnson will join Byron Jordan-Prince, Lytrell Scott, and Daquan Johnson who were arrested a few days prior.

Police said that the males would go into discount stores like Dollar General, Rite Aid and Family Dollar. They would grab up batteries, diapers,candy and other items and run out of the store with them. Police said they were responsible for at least 25 thefts and the value of the stolen items exceeds $14,000.
The stealing happened in all areas of the city, especially in Burholme and Olney, authorities said. During the crime spree, at last two robberies were committed, police said. The stolen merchandise was sold across the city for a fraction of it’s value.
Police think there may be other retail thefts that this gang committed and the investigation is still going on.
