Sarah Mitchell wanted to be in the US Navy when she was a little girl and watched a neighbor graduate basic training. She was an excellent student in the school system and several members of the school district were on hand to watch the ceremony.
Sarah Mitchell was killed in Jordan during a training exercise in 2018. A plaque was unveiled that will be attached to the bridge which thousands of people travel across every day.
