Male Arrested For Setting WAWA Gas Pumps On Fire On Roosevelt Boulevard

Philadelphia Police and fire were called to the WAWA on the 7000 block of the Roosevelt Boulevard just before 12:30 AM today. A male was damaging the gas pumps.

When responders got there, a fire was lit in between two gas pumps which could have been catastrophic. Several of the pumps nearby were vandalized as well.

Police found that Roosevelt De-Silva, 37 from the 3200 block of Princeton Ave was allegedly responsible for the damage. He was arrested and charged with Arson, Risking a catastrophe, Criminal mischief and related offenses. Police did not give a motive for why he chose that WAWA which was close to his residence.

  1. Lordy Mama!…… yet another Crazy loon from Mayfair.
    I was headed to bed around 1AM that night, and heard the police sirens in the distance.
    I didn’t think much of it, seems it’s a normal happening these days.

    So what was the reasoning and results of commiting this act?
    I figure there was no sensible reasoning, and the result is just one more thing to irritate society with disruption of their lives.
