Shooter At Morrisville Strip Club Now Faces Homicide Charges

Pedro E. Rodriguez, 28 a resident of Trenton New Jersey is going to face charges of criminal homicide, and assault as well as weapons offenses. He is accused of shooting Mekhi Norman who tried to intercede in an altercation between Rodriguez and staff at a strip club called The Border, just off Route 1, in Morrisville Pa. back in late August of this year.

Norman was rushed to a Trenton Hospital in critical condition. He was shot multiple times in different places, including the back of his head. He died September 6, 2024. Since he was in Trenton, the Middlesex County Medical Examiner did an autopsy and ruled the cause of death a homicide.

Rodriguez fled with another male, Kevin Perez, north into Trenton. He surrendered soon after the shooting. The investigation determined that Perez fought with at least five staff members at the club just prior to the shooting. His charged include five counts of simple assault, disorderly conduct and harassment..

The updated charges were just filed and Rodriguez will be arraigned tomorrow.

Authorities said there were 17 customers and staff inside the club at the time of the shooting.
