Jewelry Store Hit By Smash and Grab Thieves At Franklin Mall

Philadelphia Police are investigating a smash and grab robbery at the Zales Jewelry store inside the Franklin Mall, ( formerly Franklin Mills Mall). This happened earlier today just before 1:00 PM police said.

According to reports, two black males entered the shop. One had a sledge hammer and he broke the cases containing Rolex Watches. The other male, described as a light skinned black male scooped up eight Rolex Watches.

They fled in a black Hyundai.No direction was given. Police did not give a value for the watches. No injuries were reported.

  1. You would THINK, that by NOW, in the year 2024,….. that jewelry stores would have gotten wise to the smash/grab thefts, and installed theft/damage-proof display cases.

    Stores like check cashing places have bullet-proof windows to protect employees.

    As for those hideously expensive Rolex watches – I think their stupid crap.
    I don’t need something so idiotic on my wrist to brag to others about.
    Nor do I have to pet my own ego with that crap.
    My $11 Kmart watch tells the same time as those things.

  2. Of course it was for the Rolex watches – uh, I mean Rollies of course. That’s what they call them, right? “I just want a Rollie, Rollie, Rollie with a dab of ranch” “I already ‘stole’ some designer to hold up my pants”

    They’ll be back next week to pick up the Gucci belts.
