Bank Robber Caught Red Handed In Bensalem
by Alex Lloyd Gross
Marc Masich a resident of Amhurst New York is in serious trouble with law enforcement in Southeastern Pennsylvania. Police alleged that he was responsible for multiple bank robberies or attempts to rob banks in the area, especially in Bensalem, where he tried twice and hit the jackpot on his final attempt.
Police said that he walked into the TD bank of Street Road about 5:00 PM December 23,2024., He gave the teller a note that said “Give me all the money in your drawer and make sure it does not have any trackers in it.” The teller activated the silent alarm and told the subject that he could not access the cash machine; the subject fled the scene in an unknown direction before the police arrived.
Just 13 minutes later he walked into the Santander Bank on Street Road. He had on a facemask and left when an employee told him to take it off.
Police in Middletown had someone rob a bank and that person drove a small black Nissan. That incident took place December 12, of this year. The information was passed onto patrol.
Bensalem Police said that just a few minutes later, an officer took that information and was patrolling in the area of the PNC Bank on Hulmeville Road. The officer saw a male scurry into the bank, while leaving the vehicle running( which is an offense in Pennsylvania). The vehicle he came out of was a small black Nissan. The officer went to run his license plate but could not.
The reason this could not be run is because the driver removed the plate, so the officer waited a few minutes and saw him come out with a bag of money. The suspect was identified as Marc Masich and inside the bag was $4000.00. Masich did not get any cash but he got to wear handcuffs as he was brought to the police station for processing.
When interviewed, Marc Masich admitted to the robbery at PNC Bank and attempted robbery at TD Bank. He also revealed that he was going to rob the Santander Bank, but he got scared and left the bank when employees told him to take his mask off. Marc Masich also admitted to three other bank robberies using the same demand note over the last month at the Santander Bank in Langhorne, PA, the Santander Bank in North Wales, PA, and the Truist Bank in Newtown Square, PA.
Marc Masich was charged with numerous felonies, including Robbery, Robbery of a Financial institution, Terroristic Threats, and related offenses. He was arraigned by District Justice Frank Peranteau and remanded to the Bucks County Correctional Facility on 10% of $500,000 bail. Bensalem Police are currently working with the FBI and other local law enforcement to determine if Marc Masich was involved in similar bank robberies in Southeastern PA.
