City Opens 22 Warming Centers
by Alex Lloyd Gross
It is freezing cold and some people might need a place to get warm. Perhaps they are homeless or maybe they are having problems with their heating system where they live. Maybe they are working or out in the elements and need to get warm for a bit. Simply walk in and stay a while.
They are in all areas of the city.

Bustleton Library from 9 AM to 9:00 PM on Bustleton near Veree
Rec Center 9-9 8100 Bustleton Ave.
Northeast Regional Library 9-9 2200 Cottman Ave.

Most rec centers and libraries will be accommodating. While not an official warming center, indoor shopping malls can accommodate people for a few hours during business hours and the lobby of most city police and fire facilities can be used in a pinch .
City workers and volunteers will be able to help residents into a homeless shelter should they need that.
