It was in February 2005 when Marlon Hodges, a Jamaican Citizen was convicted of a serious assault in Orange County New York. He was sentenced to 14 years and then ordered removed the The United States.

He came back, through an unknown method. Immigration officials became aware that as of last year, Hodges was back in the country after being deported. An investigation was started and he was found living in west Philadelphia.

At approximately 10:30 a.m., March 6, 2024, Hodges was seen leaving a residence on the 5500 block of Walton Avenue in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and walking to a corner store on South 56th Street.

When investigators entered the store and approached the defendant, he stated that his name was Marlon Hodges and that he did not have identification. Hodges was immediately arrested and searched, and found in possession of a fraudulent Pennsylvania driver’s license bearing his photograph and the name Michael Stewart. A fingerprint check subsequently confirmed Hodges’ identity.

This week, he entered a plea of illegally entering the United States after deportation. He will be sentenced May 27,2025.
