by Alex Lloyd Gross
A Philadelphia Police Officer was hurt when a male driving a car rammed his patrol car. The incident happened at an apartment building on the 1700 block of Grant Avenue on March 6 just before 1:00 AM.
Police gave this account of the incident. The officer was at the location a few hours prior to this incident to serve a protection order. The target of that order fled before being served. The officer continued their patrol and came back to the area on Grant Avenue a few hours later when they saw the target operating a car,

When the target pulled into the lot, the officer followed. The suspect then saw this and police said they deliberately reversed at high speed , in spite of the officer using the air horn to warn him. The suspect then slammed his car into the police car, injuring the officer.

The officer was transported for injuries and the suspect was arrested. Police said he is in the process of being charged and his name and mug shot will be released when that process in concluded.
