Three Gang Members Get Decades In State Prison For Murders

Chaundrah Jones, a mother of two was killed, and two other women were injured in an attack that occurred at 33rd and Diamond near the city’s Strawberry Mansion section on September 29 ,2021. They were leaving a birthday party at the 7th Star Lounge. They were in a vehicle when 49 bullets came flying their way. They were the subject of a hit gone wrong. They had nothing to do with any street altercations.

The three individuals that shot them were Dontae Sutton , Jamir Brunson-Gans , and Elijah Soto, authorities said. They just got sentenced for their roles in the murders of three people and the non-fatal shootings of others in September 2021. The trio realized the next day that the shooting took out people they were not hired to kill.

Jahlil Williams, the leader of the street gang known as Omerta, to conduct the attack at the lounge for $10,000, authorities said. Sutton, Brunson-Gans and Soto were members of a different gang. They called themselves the Big Naddy Gang. They admitted in court they were paid by Williams, $10,000 to kill people.

They were sentenced in court and got sentenced as follows:

Dontae Sutton pleaded guilty to three counts of Third Degree Murder, five counts of Aggravated Assault, two counts of Robbery, Conspiracy, and related firearm violations. He was sentenced to 40 to 80 years in state prison

Elijah Soto pleaded guilty to three counts of Third Degree Murder, two counts of Aggravated Assault, Conspiracy, and related firearm violations. He was sentenced to 30 to 60 years in state prison and amir Brunson-Gans pleaded guilty to two counts of Third Degree Murder, three counts of Aggravated Assault, Conspiracy, and related firearm violations. He was sentenced to 35 to 70 years in state prison.

Williams was implicated in a scheme that brought down a prominent attorney, Paul DiMaio..Williams is sitting in federal lockup on RICO charges as well as homicide. Williams allegedly had the attorney bring a cellphone, drugs and cigarettes into the Federal Detection Center.

Sutton, Brunson-Gans, and Soto also committed the murder of Jordan Murray on September 6, 2021. Murray was shot nine times on the 2200 block of West Huntingdon over what investigators determined was a dispute on Instagram. Sutton and Soto were also implicated in the murder of Jerrick Jenkins, which occurred on September 18, 2021, on the 2900 block of West York Street.
