Nafiysh Knox-Schenck is going to Federal Prison for over three years. He will also do state time later, for his crime spree that happened about a year ago in Germantown. It was on May 13,2024, when he was driving a car on E. Collum Street when officers pulled over the car.

They found he had an outstanding warrant and went to arrest him. That is when according to police, he reached into his waistband and tossed a loaded gun into some nearby woods. Police finally got him handcuffed and Knox-Schenck was put in the back of a patrol car. One of the officer’s body worn cameras came off during the struggle and they went to retrieve that and the firearm as well.

While they were looking for the items, someone opened the back door to the police vehicle and Knox-Schenck was able to escape. He remained free for about a day and a half until US Marshals got him. This time, there was no one to help him escape.

The prison time he will serve in the federal system is for being a felon in possession of a gun. This in addition to any state time he will get for the escape and his other charges.
