Frankford Male Arrested and Charged With Leaving The Scene Of Fatal Crash
Christopher Burkle, 28, of the 2800 block of Plum Street in Frankford was arrested and now is charged with Homicide by Vehicle-DUI, Accident-Death-No License, Involuntary Manslaughter, REAP, Driving Without License, Careless Driving, Reckless Driving, and Accident Involving Death. This after a series of events that unfolded yesterday afternoon.

Philadelphia Police said that he was driving a u-Haul when it was involved in a crash at Kensington and Allegheny Avenues about 4:44 PM. Instead of stopping, the driver of the U-Haul sped off south on Kensington Avenue and eventually to the 1800 block of E. Cambria Street.

There, police said the vehicle struck a pedestrian, who is still unknown at this time. The driver left the truck at the scene and ran away on foot. He was subsequently arrested on the 2900 block of Jasper Street.
The female was pronounced dead by medics at the scene.
