Police Want To Know Who Broke Into Bucks County Hardware Store

During the early morning hours of March 12, 2025 police in Plumstead were called to the ACE Hardware Store located on Stump Road. The reason for the call was a burglar alarm had tripped. Police got there quickly and saw the rear door closing. They thought someone was inside. It was just after 4:00 AM.
The building was secured and no one was found inside. They found the front window had been smashed. A red shovel and a mechanic’s glove were found nearby. The second mechanic’s glove was located on a table inside the store. Four electric meters were removed from the rear of the building, and that affected many businesses in the shopping center, police said.
Homeowners in Lantern Ridge with outdoor cameras are urged to provide any footage captured on the night of the incident, as it may feature the suspect or their vehicle. The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Plumstead Township Police Department.
