Bristol Twp Police To Increase Patrols In Bristol Cemetery

Unknown person(s) have been damaging the final resting spots of several people that are buried at the Bristol Cemetery, off of Route 13. “This act of desecration is not only a criminal offense but a deeply disrespectful affront to the memory of the deceased and the families who care for them,” police said. As a result, additional patrols of the grounds have been ordered, Chief of Police Robert Coulton said.

When relatives came to pay their respects, the discovered someone had spray painted the tombstones with spray paint. Police will use every available tool to track down these responsible for this .

Chief Coulton said it “Goes beyond property damage, it strikes at the heart of the community.” Police are asking for tips, should anyone see anything or possibly overhear someone talking about doing this. We are asking anyone with information regarding this incident to come forward. Police said the vandalism was reported to them earlier this week.
