Pedestrian Struck and Killed In Warrington

A pedestrian who is still unidentified, was struck and killed by the driver of a Subaru Tribeca last night, during a severe rainstorm. The crash happened on Easton Road, in front of the rescue squad building. In spite of valiant efforts, the male, who is about 38 years old was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

There is no crosswalk in that area and the weather contributed to the crash, police said. The driver of the vehicle did stay at the scene and cooperated with investigators. No other injuries were reported.

Easton Road was closed for the investigation between Parks Road and Oxford Drive for about three hours, police said. No charges have been filed until after the investigation is completed, and only if charges are warranted. Police did not say what the speed of the Subaru was at the time of the crash.

Police said the crash happened close to 8:30 PM.
