South Philly Shooting Investigated By Police

Philadelphia Police are investigating a shooting that took place last night just after 9:30 PM. An officer on patrol was flagged down about a shooting that just happened on the 1800 block of Ellsworth Street. The officer found a shooting victim laying in the street.

The victim, a 20 year old male was shot one time in the head, police said. He was unresponsive. He was rushed to Jefferson University Hospital in critical condition. He was transported by police. No suspects have been arrested and a motive remains unclear.

Detectives were at the scene looking for security camera footage of the incident.
