
Police Investigate Ludlow Street Murder

Authorities are investigating a fatal shooting that claimed the life of a 29-year-old woman late Friday night in West Philadelphia.
Philadelphia Police responded to a report of a person with a gun around 11:25 p.m. on April 18 in the 5700 block of Ludlow Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered the victim, a female, lying on the street next to the open driver’s side door of a red Hyundai Elantra. She had sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the head and chest.


Officers rushed the woman to Penn-Presbyterian Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead at 11:48 p.m.
The Philadelphia Police Department’s Homicide Unit has launched an active investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting. No arrests have been made at this time.
As part of the city’s ongoing efforts to combat violent crime, officials are offering a $20,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the individual or individuals responsible.
