Authorities are investigating an officer-involved shooting tonight in Buckingham Township, Bucks County. According to sources, police were called to a home on the 4800 block of Redfield Road. The exact nature of the call for service is unclear at this time. The time of occurrence is about 4:00 PM Police said.

Sources say that a suspect threatened an officer and the officer drew his service weapon and shot the suspect. They are said to be in very serious condition. No other information is available on the suspect.

Buckingham Township Police, along with Bucks County Detectives, are on the scene gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses. This is protocol and will be reviewed by the Bucks County District Attorney.
