Philadelphia Visitors Center Lauches Phambassador Program In Center City
by Alex Lloyd Gross
In just a few short months, the city will be celebrating the 250th birthday of America. When we were a colony under England’s rule, the push to be independent started right here, in Philadelphia. It’s only fitting that the city is pushing positive energy for the 250th birthday.

While the World Cup and the All Star Game are going to be here, there are ways Philadelphian’s can help promote the city and become a Phambassador. That is easy to do, just go to https://phambassador.com/ to sign the pledge. Those that do could wind up with some cool swag.

Hyping the city could be as easy as “A few positive posts on social media, to cleaning your block, anything to promote the goodness that is Philadelphia,” said Katherine Ott Lovell, President of the Philadelphia Visitors Center, and Philadelphia 250.

A press event was held at LOVE Park earlier today, to get people familiar with what is going on. Mascots from all of the major sports teams as well as Temple University showed up to get in on the fun. They interacted with people and posed for photos.

There were drum lines and cheerleaders or other representatives of Philly sports teams there as well. Events for Philly250 will encompass all areas of the city.
