
Two Children Shot In Different Incidents In Philadelphia Yesterday

Two children were shot in different, unrelated incidents , just a few miles apart, yesterday. The first happened at 1:44 PM,when officers responded to a shooting inside a residence on the 5200 block of Delancey Street. A 2-year-old male juvenile was shot in the abdomen and was immediately transported by police to CHOP. He is currently listed in critical condition. No arrests have been made at this time, and the case remains under investigation by the Shooting Investigation Group.


Later in the afternoon, on the porch of a residence on the 5900 block of Pine Street. A 5- or 6-year-old female was struck by gunfire and was transported by police to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), where she is currently listed in stable condition. At this time, no arrests have been made, and a motive has not been determined. The Shooting Investigation Group (SIG) is actively investigating the incident.


Detectives were actively searching the area for security camera footage.
